On the Day where the amount of wealth and money you have won’t matter and the only currency that will be valuable will be good deeds, we will need all the good deeds we can get.
Smiling is such an easy thing, and something that can bring big benefits if we always do it so let’s make it a part of our daily routine.

Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “Do not belittle any good deed, even meeting your brother (Muslim) with a cheerful face”. [Muslim]
Abu Dharr (radi Allahu anhu) reported that Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Don’t consider anything insignificant out of good things, even if it is that you meet your brother with a cheerful countenance.” [Sahih Muslim]
Every little good counts with Allah (subhana wa ta’ala). Even meeting another Muslim with a smile increases your balance of good deeds. Seeing a cheerful face makes others feel happy. Giving someone this little bit of happiness is a source of reward for you when you do it for the sake of earning Allah’s pleasure.
Let’s say we meet 20 people each day and smiled at each of them, and each smile is worth 1 good deed. That’s 20 good deeds in a day, 140 deeds in a week, and 560 good deeds in a month. In a year, that’s almost 7,000 good deeds! Imagine what that total will be for your lifetime! Mountains worth of good deeds just by smiling at your fellow Muslim.
